Delaware Valley University Hosts a Red-Carpet Premiere and Student Viewing Party for ‘The College Tour’

The University community gathered on the Quad on Aug. 27 to celebrate an episode of a new national TV show featuring DelVal.

On Friday, Aug. 27, Delaware Valley University held a red-carpet premiere and student viewing party for a new episode of “The College Tour,” a national television series featuring colleges and universities around the world. DelVal is highlighted in a full episode of the new show. The event included a red carpet, searchlights, food trucks, popcorn, music, and the students who appear in the show. Students gathered around a big screen on the quad to watch the episode. Alex Boylan, the host of the series, gave an introduction and shared his career journey with students.

“Time can’t be stopped, time can’t be bought, and time spent being unhappy or not following your passion and your purpose is time you will never get back,” Boylan told DelVal students at the event. “You all attend an amazing university that focuses on experiences, use those experiences. You have a faculty that celebrates and supports you. You have an amazing place here to flourish. Whatever you do, where ever you end up in life, whether it’s halfway around the globe or right down the street, just do it with everything you’ve got, and set the world on fire. That will help you live an extraordinary life.”

The episode of “The College Tour” featuring DelVal includes interviews with 10 students about their DelVal experiences. The series is designed to allow viewers to virtually tour campuses from their homes. The featured students posed on the red carpet and enjoyed the episode with Boylan and the DelVal community.

“What a fun night of being celebrated and supported,” said Christine Lambert ’22, a conservation and wildlife management major, from Macungie, Pennsylvania, who is featured in the episode. “Thank you, to everyone who has watched my segment on ‘The College Tour’ TV Show.”

The DelVal episode of “The College Tour” can be streamed on Amazon Prime and other streaming services. The full episode is also available at delval.edu/TheCollegeTour.

Delaware Valley University Featured in National TV Series

The full episode of “The College Tour” is available online now and coming to streaming services on Aug. 30.

The University is highlighted in an episode of “The College Tour,” which is hosted by Alex Boylan, of “The Amazing Race.”

Delaware Valley University, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is featured in an episode of “The College Tour,” a new, national TV series. The 30-minute episode featuring DelVal is out now and, will be screened at upcoming events during the academic year. Viewers can watch the full episode on DelVal’s website now. The episode will be coming to streaming services like Amazon and GoogleTV on Aug. 30.

Hosted by Alex Boylan, winner of “The Amazing Race,” the series tells the stories of colleges and universities around the world. Each episode focuses on a single college or university and covers campus life, academics, housing, sports, activities, and much more.

“The episode really captures the student experience at Delaware Valley University,” said DelVal Interim President Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski. “This year, we’re celebrating 125 years of experiential learning. Through our award-winning Experience360 Program, 100 percent of our undergraduate students gain relevant, real-world experiences before graduation. E360 is so much more than a typical internship program. This episode really shows the kinds of experiences our students are participating in and, what makes a DelVal education so powerful.”

Emmy-nominated and award-winning TV producers visited the DelVal campus in April 2021 to film 10 students who shared their stories about what it’s truly like to be an Aggie.

“As a student at this school you won’t just be in a lecture hall, you’ll be out in the field that you choose to study,” said Kai Allen ’24, a biology major who is featured in the episode.

Delaware Valley University to Be Featured in ‘The College Tour,’ an Amazon Prime TV Series

Filming for the episode, which will tell DelVal’s story through student interviews, will take place April 19 through 23.

Emmy-nominated and award-winning TV producers will be visiting Delaware Valley University, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to talk with students about what makes DelVal special. The University will be featured in an episode of “The College Tour,” which will air on Amazon Prime. Filming will take place April 19 through April 23 on campus and at Doylestown’s Fonthill.

Hosted by Alex Boylan, from the reality show “The Amazing Race,” the series tells the story of colleges and universities around the world. Each episode focuses on a single college or university and covers campus life, academics, housing, sports, activities, and much more. The show is designed to give prospective students an inside look at what it’s truly like being a student at the featured college or university.

“We’re looking forward to showing off our campus and giving our students a chance to share why they chose DelVal,” said Kathy Payne, vice president for enrollment management.
“Our students will be sharing some of the amazing real-world experiences they have been able to have because of DelVal. Our experiential education program, Experience360, gets students out of the classroom and working in their fields before graduation. We’ll be hearing about those experiences as well as what day-to-day life is like for a DelVal student.”

“DelVal is celebrating 125 years of being a leader in experiential learning this year,” said Kathy Howell, associate vice president for marketing and communications. “There’s no better time to show off what DelVal has to offer to a national audience. This is an opportunity to share the DelVal story with people who might not be able to visit campus.”
