Fluffernutter (with Colby, Tony and Keely)

Dorm Tour #0 from Nichols College

Now, for those of you that don’t know that much about this wonderful jar that sits in front of us today…

What’s going on everybody? Welcome to Campus Eats. I’m joined here by my friends here at Nichols College, and today we are in the Bison Den. Now, this little delicious thing in front of me is called the Nichols Fluffernutter. It’s not on the menu, but trust me, you’re gonna wanna hear about this one. Before we get into the Fluffernutter though, let me tell you guys a, a little history on the Bison Den.

This was actually in a separate location in the 1960s, and as time has gone on, we’ve actually moved it to our very own Dudley Hill Golf Club at Nichols College. And the best part about this place, it’s student-run, so students have the opportunity to gain hands-on real world experience. Now let me tell you a little bit about this masterpiece.

The Nichols Fluffernutter consists of peanut butter, Massachusetts fluff, and chocolate, and then is grilled all together to make the Nichols Fluffernutter. Now, for those of you that don’t know that much about this wonderful jar that sits in front of us today. So let me give you a quick crash course.

Back in 1917, a candy confectioner over in Somerville, right? Yep, that’s right. Somerville? Perfect. Somerville. Over in Somerville, ends up selling the original recipe for about $500 to a pair in Lynn. Now, the people that started making it in Lynn, that factory is still in operation today, making these wonderful jars and giving us this sandwich that we have here.

Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve done a lot of talking and I’m ready to dig in. Oh, I’m ready to go too. All right. Let’s go. Let’s get in here

Mm. This is good. This is really good. Delicious. After a long day of class, that is exactly what I need. Yeah, me too. Well, thanks for joining us. I’m gonna go delete this thing. Have a great one. Bye.
