Ethan, a 6’4 combo guard on the Thunderbirds men’s basketball team hails from Akron, Ohio, majoring in general studies. Ethan loves being a Thunderbird, and has received tremendous support from his teammates and coaches throughout his journey. Ethan, it’s time to play ball, take it away.

– [Team Member] Let’s get it, T-Birds out there. One, two, three.

– [Team] T-birds! Thanks, Alex. I’m excited to share my story with you. Have you ever decided to commit to a school within 48 hours? Well, I have. My journey’s been much different than many other college athletes, but my work ethic, dedication to God, and betting on myself have gotten me every step of the way. My time on the basketball team at Casper College has been full of growth. My teammates and coaches will tell you that I do not take a day off, and I take great pride in that. As a team leader, I need to do everything in my power so my teammates can succeed. It isn’t always the easiest task, but focusing on the details allows me to be successful so my teammates can thrive. At Casper, I found a place that respects my work ethic and invests in students like me. They give us all the resources that we need to succeed. We aren’t just athletes here, but a part of the community, and that support has made a big impact. I’m grateful for my coaches and my teammates, because having people in your corner who believe in you as much as you believe in yourself, makes a huge difference. Even off the court, Casper builds leaders. Basketball has shaped me into the man that I am today. Being able to succeed has allowed my confidence to grow, and the student-first culture has played a big role. We have an environment where everyone is encouraged to take pride in everything that we do, even if it’s not basketball, Casper also has soccer, volleyball, and rodeo teams. No matter your sport, the students are the heart of Casper’s athletic programs. Casper has taught me how to get through many different obstacles, and I know that my journey is far from over, but God has a plan for me. Shout out Proverbs 16:3, and that’s my story, Alex, back to you.
