One of their roommates, who’s from Boston, had the idea of combining their three top foods
Hey, welcome to Campus Eats. This is Evan. Um, I’m a senior here at Roanoke College, and we’re at Mac & Bob’s having the Boston Zone, which is the best thing in Roanoke, in Salem, the best thing around here. Um, so but before we get into the Boston Zone, let me tell you a little bit about Mac & Bob’s. So Mac & Bob’s was started in 1980 by two Roanoke lacrosse players as part of a project, and still, 40 years later, it’s here, it’s booming.
It is the place to be. Um, but into the Boston Zone. So one of their roommates, who’s from Boston, had the idea of combining their three top foods, so chicken tenders, Buffalo wings, and the calzone. And what they did is they chopped up the, the chicken tenders, they threw them in Buffalo sauce, and they put them in a calzone.
And again, this is the best thing. When you are at Roanoke, you have to try this. But I mean, enough talk, dude. I’m hungry. Do you guys wanna eat? Let’s do it. Let’s dig in. Hey, guys. Hey. Hey, what’s up? What’s going on? Trying something new, huh? Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Appreciate you guys coming down. Yeah, man. Yes, sir.
Thank you. Yeah, yeah. Another zone. Yes, sir. Actually, we’re coming up on selling our millionth zone here in, uh, probably the next few months actually. Really? We’re, we’re, we’re coming up on. We’re well into the 900,000, so we’ll probably have a contest, uh, to when it gets to the actual one millionth, you can eat ’em for life or something.
