You can probably see there’s three computer screens. I am a computer science major, so I really wanna work on my coding. But also, um, I’m a theater major too, so I wanna kinda watch some so- shows and stuff like that
Hey, what’s up? Welcome to dorm tour. My name is John and I’m a sophomore majoring in theater and computer science and welcome to Bundy. So as you can see, this is a single room and you can obviously tell there’s lots of Japanese themed, um, objects in my room. But, um, so when I was coming in here I really wanted to bring back pieces of Japan that reminds me of home.
So here you can see there’s a drape that is, it was actually used in a sake shop and I bought this in an antique shop in Tokyo and I just, I was like, “I’m gonna bring that.” And over here you can see, um, a little Japanese style tatami and, um, also like decors. Uh, one of these I bought in Kyoto. I love Kyoto by the way.
Um, and also you can see books. I love reading books. I got lots of Japanese books, novels, business books, lots of books. And yeah, Earlham is, uh, such a place that like lots of international students come in and there’s actually about 20 Japanese students and I was so excited to come over here and, but also there’s a lot of people coming from different places and, um, last year, freshman year, I had a friend from Ghana and I, I learned a lot about Ghana and, and he learned about, uh, Japan a lot.
So, um, it’s a great place to come and freshmen usually would get, um, uh, roommates and, uh, Earlham really focuses on diversity and the, um, impact that creates, uh, that is created. So, um, it’s, it’s a great place to come. Um, kind of going back to the room, uh, obviously we got a bed and, uh, we have a mattress that comes with the room, uh, a drawer, a desk and you can probably see there’s three computer screens.
I am a computer science major, so I really wanna work on my coding, but also, um, I’m a theater major too, so I wanna kind of watch some so- shows and stuff like that. And here is kind of my, uh, favorite part of the room, which is the coffee machine. There’s a coffee shop down the street, but I was like, “I can do it better.”
So I got my whole set there. I got, uh, more Japanese food and also like teas over here. I love drinking Japanese tea and this is actually, my grandma made this and, uh, I w- grandma said, “You can take it.” So, um, yeah, that’s pretty much about it. Thanks.
