Hey, everybody. Welcome to Dorm Tours. Uh, my name is Jesus, and I’m basically here just to give you a show around Slater Apartments here at Our Lady of the Lake University. So, I mean, as you can see, I, I am a guy, so I mean, I try to decorate it best I can. I mean, we got some of the grandma’s old decor and then, uh, my girlfriend always did say I need more plants in the room, so we got all that over there.
But, um, as you can see out through these windows, this place used to be called Lake View because we had a massive view of the lake. But recently we had all, one of our old presidents change the name to Slater Apartments. So Slater Apartments, basically, if you’re a freshman, you’re coming to the Lake, everyone wants to move in here.
It’s the place to be. Mainly because you got one of these babies right here, call this the full size. We got our kitchen right here, full size fridge over here, and I mean, these appliances don’t come included, so basically just, you know, find a good friend or a mom who doesn’t need their things anymore and just get moving along with that.
But as you follow me over here, I’ll show y’all, this is kind of sort of the more living space. Uh, this is where my roommate would be. Um, luckily I’m alone for the summer, so I’m making the most of that, I’ll tell you that. Uh, we have a full, full vanity along with, you know, our sink with no mirror, and then just a bunch of drawers under in case you need to store anything else.
Got two little lockers right here. I use both of them. He’s not here, so he doesn’t even worry about it. Now I’ll flag y’all in over here. This is where the main magic happens, AKA me sleeping for 18 hours after track practice. So other than that, you know, it’s a great deal. It’s a great vibe. I got my setup here because, I mean, like I’m a guy, I like to game, I like to do just things to kill time when I’m not studying.
Beyond that, I mean, same deal as the living room. You know, I got a few decorations up, just mainly keeping the feel of just the kind of person I am. I mean, you can tell by this massive Puerto Rican flag, born and raised, so always gotta rep that. And then, you know, my girlfriend always did say my walls were a little drab, so she went ahead and just gave me this, so I got something to show for it.
But overall, you know, I love the place. It’s a great place to be. You know, once you move into your sophomore year, you know, as a junior, I can say, I mean, when I got here finally, it was the best move I made in the entire time that I’ve been here at the Lake.
