Hi, my name is Ginny Barnard. I’m from West Jordan, Utah, and I live here at Lassonde Studios, in a Pod. Come check out my room!
So this is my pod. It’s pretty small, but I love it. I have a lot of cool things. So starting over here, I have my collection of tote bags on the wall and my full size mirror.
And then I have my bedside table and my awesome bed. So this is a full size bed that comes with the room, and it has a lot of underneath storage. So there’s a dresser right there. I don’t keep anything in there because there’s just a ton of other storage. And then underneath the bed and then a few. I have all my pictures and art.
I love all of my art. I think it really describes me because I have like vintage old posters and Indiana Jones posters. So I love it. Right here is my TV. So the TV comes with the room so I don’t have to bring this in. And it’s so much fun. I love it. Then we also have our storage up here.
I display all my art books that I got from the library sale. So it’s really fun, right through here we have my kind of messy closet with different shelves. This is where my little pantry is. My school supplies, cleaning supplies. And then through here, I have my big wardrobe, all my clothes, laundry, storage up top. And then underneath I have a dresser.
There are dresser drawer there as well. And then I have my little umbrellas that hold my hats. Here in our Pod community we share community kitchen, which comes with two refrigerators, a dishwasher, two sinks, two microwaves, a stove and an oven. Some residents even provide their own appliances. So this is a toaster oven that we all share among ourselves.
And then all of the cabinets and storage you see is used by the residents to store kitchenware, food, anything else. So next to our kitchen, we have our community dining space here. We have a bunch of tables where we eat dinner, work on homework. We also have our little Lego centerpieces here that our residents, that they like to show off.
Also in our community area, we have two different study spaces that have couches and seating and TVs so we can hang out and have a good time. Each community member also gets a locker where they can store different items like skis, guitars, anything big. I keep all my shower stuff and my winter coats.
Here throughout the community, we share community bathrooms which are cleaned daily by our staff.
