– Thank you, Alex. Welcome, everybody. Growing up, my high school’s partnership with SFA helped shape my strong passion for engineering. This allowed us to engage in hands-on experience, including regular visits to the campus and STEM labs. These experiences help fuel my passion for science and technology and confirm my desire to be part of this field. One of the best parts of being at SFA is its hands-on immersive learning environment that takes STEM education beyond the classroom. From the moment I’ve stepped on campus, I’ve had access to cutting-edge technology, advanced research labs, and innovative spaces like the Makerspace. I’m a lead tech at the Makerspace where students can design, prototype, and even build using our 3D printers, laser engravers, and other high-tech equipment. Whether I’m working on a project in the engineering labs, collaborating with peers on problem solving challenges, or exploring the latest advancements in science, SFA has given me the tools and support to turn ideas into reality. Beyond academics, SFA offers exceptional STEM opportunities that make learning engaging. I’ve attended conferences, connected with industry professionals, and collaborated with motivated peers who share my passion for engineering and innovation. These experiences have helped me build leadership skills and gain real-world insight while participating in outreach efforts to inspire future STEM students. Being part of SFA STEM program has given me more than just an education. It’s provided hands-on experiences, connections, and the skills to succeed in the real world. Whatever major you choose, you won’t just learn about it at SFA. You’ll get to apply it in research, labs, and innovative projects. From working in state-of-the-art facilities to collaborating with professors and peers, I know I’m leaving SFA fully prepared for what’s next. That’s my story. Throwing it back to you, Alex.
